Founding charity
ParaPride is an empowerment charity that advocates for the visibility, education and awareness of LGBTQ+ disabled people. We are a grassroots organisation entirely run by a group of volunteers and our lived experiences are at the core of our values.
ParaPride started on the basis of a need to address the lack of inclusion for disabled people within the LGBTQ+ community; a need for more accessible LGBTQ+ spaces; and a need to promote body positivity around different bodies and being able to celebrate that.
Trans in the City
2025 Partner Charity
Trans in the City are the world’s largest organisation for trans and non-binary people in business. Established in 2017, we became a not-for-profit company in 2022, and we are led by trans and non-binary people and collaborate with over 300 global corporate partners to raise awareness, share contacts and best practice, provide role models and speakers and access to consultancy and training.
The premise of Trans in the City is simple – to pool the expertise, role models and dynamism of those organisations that are doing such great trans awareness work and share it with any organisation that needs it.
By far the biggest challenge in raising acceptance of trans people in the business environment is the level of education about what trans actually is and what an organisation can do to really help trans people.
Trans in the City works with some of the world’s leading role models, some of the foremost organisations leading trans awareness and the world’s leading charitable organisations including Mermaids, Stonewall Housing, MindOut and FFlag to provide the information, contacts and expertise to make trans inclusion a success in business.

TransActual
2025 Partner Charity
TransActual are working towards a world where trans people can live safely, in dignity and with access to the healthcare that we need. We’re a national, trans led and run organisation focussed specifically on working for trans adults in the UK. Our work is broad ranging, but we have a particular focus on healthcare and trans people’s legal protections. We also seek to raise trans people’s voices and raise awareness of trans people’s lived experiences.
TransActual UK was founded by a group of British trans people in 2017 as a response to increasing press hostility, transphobia and misinformation. We are run by the trans and non-binary communities, with the trans and non-binary communities, for the trans and non-binary communities.
In June 2020 we expanded our scope and remit to:
-
share reliable information about trans and non-binary people’s lives and about trans rights in the UK, as well as dispelling common myths;
-
amplify the voices of trans and non-binary people so that the wider world may hear the experiences of a wide range of trans men, trans women and non-binary people;
-
educate people about trans and non-binary people’s lives and the issues we face;
-
advocate for trans and non-binary people;
-
empower trans and non-binary people to bring about change in their lives and in the community.
