The Queer Black, Asian & Indigenous Experience

Focus Day Community: Immigrant and Refugee LGBTQIA+ On this day, we'll focus on the unique intersectional challenges of immigrants and refugees who also represent the LGBTQIA+ community. Both in the UK or in their home countries, this group has often faced persecution, violence, and death.

Given the rising threat to freedom and inclusion for the transgender community on the global stage at the moment, we have devoted a full day to intersectional issues facing trans people to ensure this community is seen and heard.

If you aren't part of a marginalised community, you may not realise how many public spaces, workplaces, public transport, social environments, and other spaces silently exclude certain groups. If you part of more than one marginalised community, spaces become even less accessible and inclusive.
